Mission Discovery Space & STEM Summer School

Meet and work with Astronauts and NASA personnel to launch your own experiment to the ISS in space!

Mission Discovery is a great opportunity for ordinary students to do something extraordinary. Secondary school students from ages 14 – 18 carry out scientific research with NASA Astronauts, rocket scientists and NASA personnel for a week at King’s College London, one of the top 25 universities in the world. In teams, students will design and propose an idea for their own science experiment; the best teams idea will be launched into space and carried out by astronauts aboard the International Space Station. Participants achieve the DofE Gold by completing the Mission Discovery residential package.

“Mission Discovery gives ordinary young people the chance to do something extraordinary.  We are incredibly pleased to be enabling such amazing opportunities for students around the world. We developed the programme to help young people learn how to be scientifically creative, and to increase their ability to work together.  Hopefully the Mission Discovery students can go on to achieve something that is truly out of this world”.
